Terms and Conditions of Payment
1. All lessons are held on the prepaid basis. Payment for the next months' classes
occurs on the day of the last class of the current month.
2. You can either choose to pay for each month or for 10 lessons (1 session) in
advance.
3. Missed classes are non-refundable. However, if you warn me in advance, I will
offer to compensate the lesson with another group. If the lesson is canceled in
advance by the teacher, then a different date will be negotiated and offered.
4. A family that enrolls two or more children into the program can get a discount.
My art lessons are based on the program, which accounts for particularities of
children’s age and their individual characteristics. If a child is ready to receive more information on the subject, then necessary modifications will be introduced to
the program of the lessons.
I. Preschool Age Group (3 – 6 y.o.)
4 sessions per year. Each session consists of 10 lessons.
Sessions & Media Used:
1st session: colour pencils, crayons, soft pastel, oil pastel, markers
2nd sessions: watercolour
3rd session: gouache/tempera
4th session: acrylic
The Above Sequence of Sessions Aims at
· developing sense of colour (red, yellow, blue and their derivatives);
· skills of working with paint directly with fingers, palms as well as with supplementary
materials;
· preparation of child’s fingers for a proper pencil/brush/marker/crayon grip, therefore,
improvement of child’s fine motor skills;
· skills of proper handling of workspace and cleaning up after working with the media;
· recognition and creation of basic shapes on paper (circle, square, triangle, etc.);
· development of child’s imagination and attention.
Study Materials:
Paper (dry/wet), lines of different lengths and shapes, filling techniques, primary colours, basic
shapes (circles, triangle, square), properties of paint (transparent/opaque), use of non-traditional
media (q-tips, salt, splashes, etc.)
II. Elementary Scool Age Group ( 6 - 9 y.o.)
4 sessions per year. Each session consists of 10 lessons.
Sessions & Media Used:
1st session: colour pencils, crayons, soft pastel, oil pastel, markers
2nd session: watercolour
3rd session: gouache
4th session: acrylic
The Above Sessions Aim at
· improving the sense of colour (primary colours (red, yellow, blue), secondary colours
(green, orange, purple);
· skills of working with paint directly with fingers, palms and different supplementary materials
as well as the use of traditional artistic materials. Use of a round and a flat brush;
· recognition and creation of basic shapes on paper (circle, square, triangle etc.) as well as the
creation of free forms;
· The use of the acquired brush and pencil techniques for further development of child’s
imagination;
· Further improvement of child’s workplace organization skills;
· Improving child’s imagination and attention.
Study Materials:
Paper (dry/wet), lines of different lengths and shapes, filling techniques, colours (red, yellow, blue,
orange, purple, black, white), basic shapes (circles, triangle, square, rhombus, rectangle), properties
of paint, use of non-traditional techniques
III. Middle School Age Group ( 9 - 12 y.o.)
4 sessions per year. Each session consists of 10 lessons.
Sessions & Media Used:
1st session: graphite pencils, dry and oil pastel
2nd session: watercolour
3rd session: gouache
4th session: acrylic
The Above Sessions Aim at
· developing the child’s skills of working with live models/objects when creating a portrait or
a still life drawing;
· the ability to choose a correct paper format for the purpose of a given project;
· learning about volume and 3D drawings. The ability to create volume on paper using artistic
media (sculpting, graphite pencil drawings, etc.);
· determination of tonal gradations (gradients) in monochrome art work;
· the ability to show the proportions and properties of a given material;
· the skills of showing proportion, impression and facial characteristics when drawing portraits
(3D or 2D);
· the ability to produce spatial plans, in paintings or drawings, with the use of linear and aerial
perspective;
· the ability to demonstrate a single point of perspective on multiple objects;
· further improvement of the child’s sense of colour (introduction of colour wheel and technique
s associated with it);
· learning of basic rules of composition;
· further improvement of brush and pencil techniques in order to put the child’s imagination to
paper, work with live models/objects;
· further improvement of child’s workplace organization skills;
· improving child’s imagination and attention.
