The exhibition.

Last week we had an exhibition for the students.They chose their favorite picture that they have created this year, framed it and brought it to display at the exhibition. If you are interested in some projects that the students have created, check out the Gallery .

 The exhibition gave an opportunity for the students to be proud of their work. It also gives them a chance to see what others think of their work and we must not forget it is a great way to make friends outside of their groups.

Course of Iconography.

Last week I participated in an iconography course

The instructor of the course was Philip Davydov (St.Peterburg, Russia):

It was a very productive time for me. Egg tempera painting is an old and one of very complicated techniques. However more and more people are starting to learn and use it. I learned  how to organize the working process step by step, and how all those steps make the image work. It was also a very interesting teaching process that made us, as students, not only to see, but to also deeper understand the Image as a message.

We continue to work with gouache.

Mono-type helps them to see beauty in colorful spots.

My students are different. Boys and girls in different ages, different skills, different preferences...
We mix paint with color, mix colors together...

Watercolor.

We have started to learn watercolor. Paper, brushes, water, colors.... a lot to control! However children enjoy the process and they play with all the rules and tasks.

We learn how to get lighter and darker spots, how spots can be beautiful, how to work on wet and dry paper.
